Cowon iAudio E2

Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1The Cowon iAudio E2 is a compact MP3 player so small that users can wear it on their keychain. It’s designed strictly for listening to hours of music, including MP3s, WMAs, and OGG Vorbis. It’s not yet released (late 2009) and so there is a tremendous deal of speculation as to what additional features may be.

Cowon’s iAudio E2 teaser — which was released on the Internet in mid 2009 — suggests the possibility of an integrated camera, as well as the ability for the unit to function as a USB thumb drive. What is known for certain is that despite being similar to the iPod Shuffle, the E2 will include actual buttons for volume and track skip control. Included also is Cowen’s EQ presets (eight in total), which will offer a distinct advantage in sound quality.
