The Pros:Setup on the computer was very easy, only took a minute. Compact size slips into any pocket with ease. Controls are very simple, and you don't have to be looking at it to use them.

The Cowon iAudio U5 is a portable MP3 player with a 1.8” LCD display. This device supports MP3, WMA and WAV files. DRM encoded WMA-10 files are also supported for those with music service subscriptions.

Additional features include a built-in FM radio with scheduled recording, a voice recorder and an alarm clock. Cowan has also included their exclusive JetEffect suite of custom EQ controls, which allow for users to manually adjust the 5-band EQ. The iAudio U5 lacks video support and memory expansion capabilities in return for being a no-frills MP3 player with a small, sleek design. Users can expect approximately 24 hours of continuous playback, according to the manufacturer. The Cowon iAudio U5 comes in both 4GB (white) and 8GB (black) capacities, and connects via USB 2.0.
