The Philips GoGear Opus is a portable MP3 player designed to offer significantly boosted audio quality through enhanced dynamics, bass, tremble, and stereo imaging. Released in Europe during April of 2009, the Philips GoGear Opus MP3 player is an upgrade from the Philips GoGear Ariaz in that it is available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB (versus 4/8/16) storage-size models.

In addition, the GoGear Opus MP3 player features a 2.8” (versus 2”) display, built-in Bluetooth, and integrated support for the BBC’s iPlayer. Like its peer, the Philips GoGear Opus player boasts an FM tuner, a built-in mic for voice recording, and a unique interface composed of various touchscreen buttons & a large vertical rocker key for quickly scanning lists. Plus, the GoGear Opus MP3 player supports WMA/AAC audio formats, MPEG4/WMV9 video formats, and JPEG images. The Philips GoGear Opus player retails between €100 & €230, depending on the storage size.
