Product Shot 1The Samsung Galaxy Player 50 is a downgraded version of the previous Samsung  Galaxy that sports a smaller size and cheaper price point. The Player 50 lacks the AMOLED screen and the high contrast ration of the previous Galaxy, however it does instead has a WQVGA screen with a 3.2" diagonal.

It also still runs Android as its base operating system. It features all the features of Android, including access to the Android application store, however all internet connectivity is limited to Wi-Fi. The Samsung 50 runs Android 2.1, has built in 802.11n Wi-Fi, and up to 48GB storage (16GB flash + 32GB microSD). There is an integrated 2MP camera, and a microphone, making the only major difference between the Galaxy Player 50 and a smartphone being a SIM card.
