The Sansa e280 is one of many mid-range flash MP3 players once produced by SanDisk. The device is part of the e200 line, and is virtually identical to the e250, except that it contains 8GB of storage, and so can hold up to 2000 songs, while featuring a microSD slot for expanded capacity.

It also plays photo slideshows and videos on its 1.8" TFT screen. The player has good battery life of up to 20 hours with a replaceable lithium-ion battery, and is compatible with a number of digital music stores and subscription services that support PlaysForSure technology. The e280 also features an FM tuner and live radio recording, as well as voice recording. Although now replaced by newer models, the e280 packed a long list of features that made it a worthy, lower-priced competitor to the iPod Nano.
