Transcend T.sonic 840

Transcend's T.sonic 840 is a lower-end flash MP3 player, available in a 2GB white version, and a 4GB black version. The two models hold around 500 and 1000 songs, respectively. Other than MP3s, the player supports WMA, protected WMA, and WAV files, and MTV video files, for which conversion software is included.

It also displays pictures and e-books. The 1.8" TFT screen has a modest resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The player also features an FM tuner with 20 presets and the ability to record from live radio. Battery life is very good, rated at 30 hours continuous music playback, but the device is often slow to respond to commands, undermining ease of use.
